We want to introduce you to Lesley Fitzpatrick from the Gympie Aquatic Recreation Centre so you can get to know her a little better!

Tell us a bit about your previous role (if any)? 

Since this centre opened on 1/4/2017 I have worked as the Customer Service Supervisor.

How do you incorporate health and fitness into your lifestyle? 

I’m heavily involved in hockey in Gympie, having played hockey for 37 years and representing Queensland at a national level.

My kids also play various sports in our community which keeps me very busy!

What is it about your role that you enjoy the most? 

I love being able to help people out and there are always new challenges.

The things in life I’m most passionate about are … 

My family. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without them.

My motto in life is things happen for a reason so live your life to the fullest!

How would you spend a $20 million windfall? 

Go on a holiday, buy houses at my favourite destinations and then give money to family.

What’s something you love to do in your spare time?

I like going to the beach and stand up paddleboarding. Which I’m not great at but I enjoy myself!
