On February 15th, Destination Leisure Holdings (DLH) announced its acquisition of The Sands and subsequently awarded the management contract of the venue to Belgravia Leisure.
Australian owned leisure management company Belgravia Leisure currently manages over 200 venues with specific expertise in managing golf, health and leisure, spa and accommodation assets across Australia and New Zealand.
The Sands boasts an 18-hole golf course designed by Stuart Appleby, a 112-room hotel and resort, a 25-metre indoor pool and restaurant.
Belgravia Leisure will relaunch The Sands on the 5th of March with a soft reopening of its accommodation and food and beverage offerings. The cafe will reopen seven days a week with both indoor and outdoor seating on the green. Breakfast will be served from 7am, with all-day dining to continue until 9pm.
Belgravia Leisure expects to introduce live music at the venue in the near future, with further announcements relating to the the Spa and special events to follow in the coming months.
Just an hour south of Melbourne, The Sands provides a beachside mini-break with sand drifts, sea breeze and sweeping views.
