Visitors from across Queensland swapped busy schedules for bushland, lakeside views and mindful connection during a wellness retreat held at Lake Wivenhoe Campground recently.
Hosted in partnership with ALI Wellness and wellness facilitator Ali Oetjen (of Bachelorette Australia), the two-day retreat welcomed guests to Lake Wivenhoe Campground for a nature-based program focused on wellbeing, relaxation and connection.

A weekend to slow down and reconnect
The retreat encouraged guests to step away from daily distractions and immerse themselves in nature, beginning with mindful walks and wellbeing activities designed to promote reflection and relaxation.

Set against the backdrop of the lake and surrounding bushland, participants took part in guided meditation, yoga, breath work, journalling, wellness ceremonies, sauna experiences and self-guided walks through the natural environment.
Guests could choose from glamping accommodation, traditional camping or day passes, creating a flexible experience suited to a range of interests and comfort levels.
Showcasing the potential of nature-based wellness experiences
The retreat marked an opportunity to showcase Lake Wivenhoe Campground as a destination for wellness-focused experiences, combining outdoor recreation, accommodation and natural surroundings in one location.
