In time for the start of the swimming season, Australia’s largest aquatic and leisure operator, Belgravia Leisure, has completed the fitting of defibrillation units in all of its Australian and New Zealand centres to further advance patron safety.
The international rollout is part of a new policy that ensures all Belgravia Leisure centres are appointed with the life-saving equipment and staff are upskilled with the necessary training to help save lives.
Belgravia Leisure manages over 100 aquatic centres, health clubs, sports stadiums, golf courses and wellness centres across Australia and New Zealand. In partnership with the centres’ local government owners, Belgravia Leisure is further strengthening safety systems and consistently providing a safe environment for staff and visitors across all sites.
Nick Cox, Belgravia Leisure CEO says:
“Our patrons’ safety is paramount and we’re constantly seeking to learn how we can review and improve our safety procedures.
“In the unfortunate and rare event that someone finds themselves in difficulty, we are reassured to be providing the best possible first response care possible, as well as the best trained and equipped staff,” Nick says.
