NRW is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements and explore how we can contribute to reconciliation in Australia. The NRW theme for 2024, ‘Now More Than Ever’ reminds us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will and must continue.

Reconciliation Australia offers a range of resources for download, including posters and social tiles, to help you spread the word about NRW 2024 and the theme of ‘Now More Than Ever’.
We’re proud to highlight just a few of our partnerships with First Nations communities through various programs and initiatives. For instance, in collaboration with the Gandangara Local Aboriginal Land Council, Belgravia Leisure’s First Nations Learn to Swim program in Liverpool delivered crucial weekly swimming lessons to 23 local First Nations youths under 12, potentially saving lives in the future.
Dingley Village Adventure Golf hosted the Casey Aboriginal Gathering Place (Youth) Group, fostering community engagement. The City of Sydney’s involvement in the Yabun Festival, as well as our partnership with Liverpool City Council and various First Nations organisations demonstrates our commitment to engagement and collaboration. Whitlam Leisure Centre recently co-hosted the ‘Community, Land, and Business Plan Stakeholder Consultations’.
