Gurri Wanyarra Wellbeing Centre is proud to partner with the City of Greater Bendigo with the introduction of ‘Pegg’, a wheelchair shuttle bus travelling from Mount Alexander Shire to Kangaroo Flat’s Gurri Wanyarra Wellbeing Centre; where our most vulnerable, with their carers, can access state of the art facilities.
“Peggy is essential to those in our community who need support and assistance to visit our wellbeing centre,” said Kym Hart, Community Engagement Coordinator. “Travelling between Castlemaine and the venue Monday to Friday provides vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our communities with access to health and wellbeing.
“Peggy is driven by amazing volunteers who are fully licensed and are qualified in wheelchair hoist,” continued Kym. “The volunteers are so very kind and generous with their time and see the value in providing such an important service to members of our community.”
