Belgravia Leisure appoints Kris Miller as VIC/TAS State Manager, to manage a growing portfolio of 35 aquatic and leisure centres, sports stadiums and golf courses.
Kris Miller has recently returned to Belgravia Leisure following eight years at the City of Monash as Leisure Manager where he oversaw Council’s three in-house aquatic facilities and sport and recreation department. Since his return to Belgravia Leisure in January, Kris managed Banyule City Council’s landmark aquatic and leisure facility, WaterMarc.
Over the last six months as WaterMarc’s Centre Manager, Kris has demonstrated his strong commercial acumen, leadership and a commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable and accessible leisure services to the local community.
In addition, Kris has intimate knowledge of many of the Victorian facilities managed by Belgravia Leisure, having led Windy Hill Fitness Centre and Melton Waves Leisure Centre in a past capacity with Belgravia Leisure.
Today, Kris is looking forward to partnering with local councils and their communities to support their health and wellbeing goals and recreation strategies.
“Belgravia Leisure is well equipped to respond to local governments’ needs and I am excited about driving innovative programming, best practice operations and business development for their facilities,” he said.
Belgravia Leisure CEO, Nick Cox said he is delighted to have Kris step in to the role of VIC/TAS State Manager.
“I have great confidence that his knowledge of local government and the leisure industry will be of great value to our contract partners.
“He will be supported by a very strong and capable Victoria leadership team who are all passionate about connecting community to leisure”.
The VIC/TAS State Manager role was formerly spread across two roles, and Kris will focus on consolidating the portfolio. The vacancy was made available following Drew Hildebrandt’s promotion to General Manager Programs and Gary Cole’s advancement to international project management opportunities with Belgravia Leisure.
