On Tuesday, March the 8th it was the last day of the 2020/21 summer swim season at Belgrave Heated Outdoor Pool.
However, this was no ordinary day at the pool. Back by popular demand was “Dog Hour” where lot’s of puppy swimming fun is had by all!
Venue Manager Rayanne Hutchins said, “It started a couple of years back when a patron came back from the UK and said he had been to a pool there that had a dog hour.”
“We had rainy weather for this season’s “Doggy Hour” but I could never cancel this event. People come from far and wide to enjoy this hour. As always we had a happy and positive turn out with dogs of all shape and sizes and all levels of confidence. Some so eager that as soon as the gate opened they were in the water dragging their owners behind them, to those dogs just happy to run about in the toddler pool.” Hutchins explained.
“The community loves it and it is always an hour of crazy fun and smiley faces from dogs and humans alike,” Hutchins concluded.
A gold coin donation went to the Belgravia Foundation with funds raised going back into the Belgrave Pool for equipment and aquatic programs for the community.
