Hepburn Wellness is set to open a pop-up wellness spa at Lorne’s iconic Sea Baths from Friday 16 December through to April 2017, to coincide with the popular holiday season.
The Hepburn Pop-Up Spa marks the launch of Belgravia Leisure’s significant investment in the Lorne region, which will see the Lorne Sea Baths fully reimagined and relaunched as Australia’s first salt water bathhouse and spa, encompassing private bathing options.
The overall plans, in conjunction with the developers and lessee Landcorp, will see the installation of up to 10 saltwater private bathing suites, solar warmed social pools, a Hammam, steam facilities and private treatment rooms focused on thalassotherapy wellness services.
Visitors to the Hepburn Pop-Up Spa will enjoy a preview of what’s to come, with access to a range of marine-based therapies. In an Australian-first, the centre will also be offering a series of luxury seaweed treatments with proven therapeutic benefits based on the historic European use of seaweed and marine algae for a multitude of wellness benefits, including easing of muscle aches, joint stiffness and circulatory problems and lowering body stress and overall wellbeing.
Belgravia Leisure has partnered with luxury marine based product company Phytomer, specialising in sea holistic wellbeing face and body treatments.
The latest venture to be inaugurated into Belgravia Leisure’s portfolio of premier spa and wellness properties, the pop-up project is inspired by the company’s award-winning wellness offering from Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa, which was recently announced Country Winner in the 2016 World Luxury Spa Awards in the Luxury Mineral Springs Spa and Luxury Wellness Spa categories.
Karen Golden, Regional Manager Spa and Wellness for Belgravia Leisure, is looking forward to introducing Hepburn Pop-Up Spa as part of this exciting new phase in the company’s development.
“We’re delighted to be able to extend the expertise and offering of Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa and the Belgravia Leisure Wellness team to a new, wider customer base and expand our reach to one of Australia’s foremost holiday hotspots.
“Every summer, Lorne draws in thousands of visitors and we predict that, by harnessing the potential of Lorne Sea Baths and establishing it as a unique, year-round visitor attraction, the area’s appeal will extend beyond the summer months.
“In doing so, we’re confident that our investment will generate demonstrable return for the region’s economy long into the future,” Karen says.
Further improvements to the Baths’ existing facilities will include significant upgrades to infrastructure including solar heating, power supply, public access and the customer service areas.
