Access to clean water is an essential part of our daily lives, and we all have a responsibility to protect our water environments and resources, and use water wisely.
National Water Week falls on the 19th to 25th of October, and the theme for 2020’s National Water Week is Reimagining our Water Future.
Population growth in Australia and New Zealand continues to put a strain on our water resources, so this National Water Week, we are encouraged to reimagine the way we use and reuse water to ensure that there is enough clean, drinkable water for future generations.
Here are some water-saving ideas for our venues to consider this National Water Week:
- Check toilets, taps and pipes at your facility for leaks

Belgravia Leisure’s Sustainability Plan
Belgravia Leisure makes every effort to ensure that our systems, policies and processes all support sustainable practices. To this end, Belgravia Leisure has developed a five year sustainability plan with four key pillars to ensure our success. Through the use of Greener Technologies, Behavioural changes, Finance/Commercial improvements and Consumption Management we will ensure we reach our environmental targets.
To date, Belgravia Leisure has undertaken sustainability audits in all of our managed sites, committed to reducing water, paper and energy consumption with set targets, introduced in-house environmental training programs for all employees, and many other initiatives to ensure we are leading the way for leisure and recreation management companies in this area.
