WaterMarc Banyule Venue Manager Renee Asciak has been appointed Business Operations Manager, Western Australia, taking the next step in a leadership journey built on community, culture and developing people.
After leading one of Belgravia Leisure’s largest and most complex venues in Greensborough, Victoria, Renee will relocate to Western Australia where she will support multiple venues, teams and communities across the state.
The appointment follows a period of significant growth at WaterMarc, where Renee has overseen a major health club refurbishment, helped drive membership growth by more than 10%, strengthened community engagement and built a highly engaged team culture.

Senior Business Operations Manager Chris Worsnop said Renee’s appointment reflects both her leadership capability and the impact she has had at WaterMarc.
“Renee has successfully led one of our largest and most complex venues, while also progressively taking on broader responsibilities through higher duties and area management support across additional venues,” Chris said.
“Throughout this journey, she has consistently demonstrated strong operational capability, exceptional people leadership and an unwavering commitment to our values.”
Creating strong teams and community connections
Reflecting on her time at WaterMarc, Renee said she is most proud of the culture built alongside her team.
“What stands out most is the culture we’ve built together. The team actively challenges and supports one another to raise standards, not only for our colleagues but for the community we serve.
“We’ve seen team member engagement reach its highest levels in years, which I believe is a reflection of the passion, trust and collaboration that exists across the business.”

As she prepares for her exciting move west, Renee said one of the most valuable lessons she will take with her is the importance of listening to communities and building strong relationships.
“Through initiatives such as the gym refurbishment and other major projects, we’ve seen the value of inviting community members into the conversation, listening to their feedback and being transparent about decisions,” she said.
“When people feel heard, they’re far more likely to support and engage with the direction of the venue.”
In her new role, Renee will support a diverse portfolio of venues across Western Australia, spanning leisure venues, holiday parks and tourism destinations.
Renee is particularly passionate about supporting Venue Managers and helping develop the next generation of leaders across the business.
“Developing leaders is a passion of mine,” Renee said.
“By building strong relationships early and learning from the people already doing great work on the ground, I’ll be in a much better position to support the team, identify opportunities for growth and help deliver positive outcomes for our communities.”
Chris said Renee’s people-first leadership style and commitment to developing others will be a valuable asset to Belgravia Leisure’s Western Australia portfolio.
“Renee has a proven ability to build strong teams, develop future leaders and create positive workplace cultures where people thrive,” he said.
An opportunity to lead WaterMarc Banyule
As Renee embarks on her next chapter, Belgravia Leisure is now recruiting for a Venue Manager for WaterMarc Banyule, creating an opportunity for another leader to make their mark at one of Victoria’s premier aquatic and leisure venues.
“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together at WaterMarc. With team member engagement at its highest in years and our group fitness studio refurbishment due for completion in November, the venue is well positioned to continue its momentum and growth within the community.
“Belgravia Leisure has provided me with fantastic opportunities to grow as a leader and I’m excited for the next chapter in Western Australia,” Renee concluded.
