Jill Kellet has been a Belgravia Leisure team member for eight years and has held a range of roles. Including Program Coordinator, Duty Manager, Operations Coordinator, Access and Inclusion Coordinator, Outdoor Pool Coordinator-Yarra Ranges, Acting Centre Manager Kilsyth Centenary Pool and now BelgraviaPRO’s RTO Training Manager.
We asked Jill about her magic moments working with Belgravia Leisure to which she responded, “working in all the different departments. I’ve loved working with our inclusive people and workplace programs. Winning the ARV – Duty Manager Award and Austswim – Teacher of Access and Inclusion National award in 2016 was an honour.”
Tell us about the people you work with
“The people that I have worked with over the past eight years have all have been dedicated to their roles and we have always worked well as a team to achieve our goals.”
“I have been lucky enough to have some great mentors over the years that have encouraged me to keep striving towards my goals,” Jill explained.
What is your favourite thing about your career with Belgravia Leisure?
“The variety of tasks from day to day and the rewards that come with teaching and helping people to develop their skills and talents.”
What are three things you’re most passionate about in life and why?
- Helping others and empowering others to achieve their goals. It’s rewarding knowing that you can make a difference.
- Friendships. The people you spend time with have big influences on your life, so having happy, healthy friendships is so important.
- Health and fitness because it helps you physically and mentally to perform well throughout your day.
