Ashleigh Douglas is the Administration Coordinator at Singleton Gym & Swim and Singleton Heights Sports Centre as well as a Relief Park Manager at Lake St Clair in New South Wales.
Ashleigh has been working with BelgraviaPro for the last two years and one year with Belgravia Leisure and says, “I come from a country background on the Mid North Coast and have had a diverse career in retail, aged care nursing, tourism and education admin.”
“Some of my career highlights with Belgravia are helping to complete our audits earlier this year, I took on a much bigger role this time around by stepping into the role of Health and Safety Representative for our three sites. Completing the audit and now addressing the corrective actions to increase our score again for next time,” Ashleigh said.
Where do you see yourself in the next three to five years?
“I’d like to take on roles as Relief Park Manager at various BelgraviaPro sites all over Australia to learn how other sites operate and what we can apply to our own sites,” Ashleigh said.
What does International Women’s Day and #EmbraceEquity mean to you?
“International Women’s Day is a day to embrace and focus on the achievements of remarkable women in all industries. Women are amazing multi-taskers and often don’t get the credit they deserve for maintaining the delicate balance of work life vs home life. We tend to take care of the little things that nobody else notices, but without which, can be the difference between success and failure.
“I’m fortunate to be a part of a completely female management team who all go above and beyond every day to check in on each other, keep everyone’s spirits high and offer help wherever and whenever it might be needed. We do our best to elevate each other and celebrate our achievements along the way. It is truly the most inclusive and encouraging work environment I have ever had,” Ashleigh concluded.
