Belgravia Leisure and Masterton District Council celebrate the new partnership.
Belgravia Leisure has opened the doors of Trust House Recreation Centre in Masterton, previously known at Genesis Energy Recreation Centre, showcasing a $200,000 investment into a full suite of new gym equipment.
Masterton District Council and Belgravia Leisure New Zealand came together to celebrate the joining of their partnership in managing the centre, which included a traditional powhiri.
Masterton District Council and Belgravia Leisure New Zealand share strong ties with local Iwi. Our aquatic and fitness programs are designed to reduce barriers for everyone, including local Iwi, so all people can benefit from an active, healthy and connected lifestyle.
Belgravia Leisure staff at Trust House Recreation Centre answer the phones with ‘Kia ora’, which is ‘hello’ in Maori, and local Iwi are regularly consulted to ensure signage and communication is cultural appropriate.
Trust House Recreation Centre features a health club, five pools, waterslides and a lazy river.
