Belgravia Leisure has recently been notified of our successful retender for the management of Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre on behalf of Cumberland City Council for a minimum of three years.
We commenced our relationship with Cumberland City Council in early 2017, the same year Auburn Ruth Everuss was redeveloped. Belgravia Leisure is extremely proud of our strong ongoing relationship with Cumberland City Council and to continue managing Auburn Ruth Everuss, the only externally operated aquatic venue in the NSW Local Government Area (LGA).
Belgravia Leisure has had a strong community presence over the past five years at Auburn Ruth Everuss. Our teams have received many award wins for our CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) and community swimming programs.
Liz Stranix, Venue Manager at Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre said, “Throughout my short time at Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre we have been awarded the 2020 AUSTSWIM State and National Swim School of The Year Award, the 2021 Zest Award for Exceptional Community Partnership and the 2021 Belgravia Leisure Inclusive Program Award.
“Most recently we were awarded the 2022 AUSTSWIM Most Outstanding Contribution to TSW Through Inclusion Award. This year we also received a five-star safety score of 100% and an overall score of 99% in our Aquatic Facility Safety Assessment (AFSA) from Royal Life Saving NSW.”
Liz said a personal highlight has also been completing a successful transition into Wentworthville Memorial Swimming Centre, also managed by Belgravia Leisure on behalf of Cumberland City Council.
Scott Vanderheyden, our South West NSW Area Manager said, “We are really excited to be able to continue our great relationship with Cumberland City Council by managing Auburn Ruth Everuss Aquatic Centre and continue to have a massive impact on the Cumberland community.”
