Yawa Aquatic Centre, proudly managed by Belgravia Leisure on behalf of Mornington Peninsula Shire, is scheduled to open to the public on Friday 25th June 2021.
‘Yawa’ which means ‘swim’, or ‘to swim’, is the local indigenous word endorsed by the Bunurong/Boon Wurrung Traditional Owners. The aquatic venue was designed for people of all ages and abilities and features a 50m indoor pool as its centrepiece. The venue also offers a range of group fitness activities such as Pilates, Body Pump, Yoga and RPM.
Yawa Aquatic Centre will feature:
- Warm water program pool
- Learn-to-swim pool
- Spa, sauna and steam room
- Multi-purpose rooms for health and fitness classes
- Wellness centre
- Elements Eatery, a destination cafe using local suppliers and produce
