April is Workplace Health and Safety Month at Belgravia Leisure, and we want to remind everyone of the importance of safety in the workplace. Our aim is to create a safe and healthy environment for our staff, customers and the wider community. Workplace safety is essential, and we want to ensure that everyone takes responsibility for their safety and the safety of others.
Safety incidents can happen at any time, and we must be vigilant to ensure they do not occur. At Belgravia Leisure, we encourage everyone to report safety incidents to their managers and into B-Connected. This is an essential step to prevent reoccurrences and improve safety in the workplace.
Reporting seemingly minor incidents are just as important as reporting the major ones, as it increases the likelihood of identifying and correcting failures before they become more serious.
Reporting safety incidents also provides a greater understanding of safety risks. The more incidents that are reported, the more aware our safety team, management, and Belgravia Leisure become of the risks. This allows us to draw insights to help reduce or eliminate the likelihood of incident reoccurrence. The information gathered from the reports can also be shared across other venues and industries to promote better safety systems.
At Belgravia Leisure, we take a proactive approach to incident reporting and investigation. Every team member must take responsibility for reporting incidents and investigating them when requested. This helps to create a safety-minded culture that promotes continuous safety improvement.
We want to remind everyone that incident reporting is just the first step. Each incident must also be investigated to ensure measures are taken to avoid reoccurrence. The more serious the incident, the more in-depth the investigation required. We must all take a proactive approach to incident reporting and investigation to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
Employee Assistance Program
We also want to remind everyone that we have an Employee Assistance Program available for all staff. This program provides access to qualified psychologists and counsellors 24/7. If you need support, please do not hesitate to contact the program by calling 1300 OUR EAP.
