Cheryl McLennan, our Queensland Aquatic Manager, has consistently demonstrated unwavering dedication and a deep passion for the world of swimming. So, it was no surprise when she was acknowledged by receiving the Outstanding Supporters Award at SWIMCON 2023.
Cheryl said, “I was truly honoured to receive this award, I’ve had the privilege of working with some incredible people over the years. It’s their dedication and passion that has made this journey so rewarding.”
The accolades continued as Tanya Fletcher and her dedicated team at Caboolture Pool and Fitness Centre received well-deserved recognition by winning the Outstanding Community Service Award.
Tanya Fletcher, Area Manager for Queensland in the Moreton Bay Region, said, “This award belongs to each and every member of our Caboolture family. Together, we’ve shown what dedication and commitment to our community can achieve and here’s to many more years of serving our wonderful community.”
Zubran Nabi, Regional Manager for Queensland in the Moreton Bay Region, praised Cheryl and Tanya as instrumental industry leaders with a long history of dedication to Belgravia Leisure.
“In the last 18 months, Tanya and her team have turned around a venue that no manager wanted to manage and made it a shining star. In the past year, Caboolture has serviced over five daycare programs, countless schools swimming and servicing CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) communities in the region. These acknowledgments are truly well-deserved.” Zubran said.
SWIMCON 23, Australia’s premier Swim Industry Conference was an event that brought together the best and brightest in the aquatics industry, and Cheryl and the Caboolture team shone bright. It reminds us that swimming isn’t just about winning races; it’s about the connections, support, and accessibility that made the industry truly remarkable.
