Belgravia Leisure managed venues Robinvale Leisure Centre and Swan Hill Leisure Centre have received a much needed investment of $200,000 from Swan Hill Rural City Council. The funds will go towards replacing gym equipment at the venues.

Acting Centre Manager Karla Barnes said, “We are really grateful to council for providing this funding following a difficult 12 months for the leisure centre industry and its members.”

The funding will enable both leisure venues to replace approximately 80 per cent of the existing equipment, which had not been replaced for several years.

Mayor Bill Moar, who is also a member of the Swan Hill Leisure Centre, was thrilled that council were able to support this investment in both leisure venues which have played an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the community at Swan Hill.

“We hope these investments will help to encourage more residents in our region to join and enjoy the benefits of increasing their physical activity, health and wellbeing,” Cr Moar said.
