CBEC and Belgravia Leisure have partnered together to bring world-leading management systems to some of New Zealand’s isolated communities.
Based in Kaitaia in the Far North of New Zealand, CBEC is a community organisation serving their communities with environmental sustainable businesses that support their communities in terms of jobs, training and by reinvesting their profits back into the community.
For the last 30 years, CBEC has run four aquatic facilities in the Far North including Kaitaia, Kerikeri, Kaikohe and Kawakawa. They have now formed a new partnership with the team at Belgravia Leisure New Zealand to operate these facilities.
CEO of CBEC Cliff Colquhoun said he was proud of what CBEC continues to deliver to their local community. Colquhoun believes that with the new contract with the Far North District Council and partnership with Belgravia Leisure, not only will we be able to improve outcomes for our staff and customers but we will be ready for the planned aquatic facility developments that are occurring right now.
Colquhoun stated, “I am excited about our new partnership with Belgravia Leisure and believe that together we can create more employment and growth opportunities for our community”.
General Manager of Belgravia Leisure New Zealand, Mark Blake said, “ I am excited to start work with the great group of people at CBEC in such a beautiful and unique part of the world. Belgravia Leisure is eager to work with community businesses, councils and groups where we can bring our expertise to smaller communities as Australasia’s largest Leisure Management Company. We believe this unique partnership can serve as a blueprint for isolated communities to ensure they get world-leading management systems at a very affordable price”.
