National Tradies Health Month, held in August, is an initiative of The Australian Physiotherapy Association to encourage tradies to add health and well being to their toolkits. For the past three years, Keilor Public Golf Course has welcomed tradies throughout August with half price rounds and discounts – a great success with many tradies and their colleagues becoming members of the course.
As Lockdown Six gathered momentum in Greater Melbourne, National Tradies Health month at Keilor Public Golf Course needed to pivot its direction. Focusing on celebrating local tradies, attention turned to businesses who have supported the golf course over the past twelve months with its Belgravia Foundation Charity Hole Sponsorship.
Of the sponsorships at the venue, five were local trade businesses who were keen to be a part of the social media promotion to acknowledge their commitment to Keilor Public Golf Course, the Belgravia Foundation and of course, its local community. Each week throughout August, a business was showcased to Keilor’s social media audience.
“It was great to show some support for our hole sponsors during our Tradies National Health Month. We were able to showcase their businesses, with a focus on their contribution to health and well-being of the community through our charity hole sponsorship program,” said Jack McDonald, Venue Manager for Keilor Public Golf Course.
The venue looks forward to welcoming more local trades and businesses to its Hole Sponsorship and further acknowledging its commitment and passion towards supporting the local community.
