Pedalling your way through Bendigo to a bespoke eatery on the outskirts of the popular tourist town is the best way to spend a Wednesday morning. With the warmth of the March sun, eleven members of Gurri Wanyarra Wellbeing Centre were led by Group Fitness Coordinator, Monique Graham, on an epic ride to boost mid-week fitness.
“The ride was open to all members and it was fabulous to see such a great turnout. We’re all at the stage in our lives where health and fitness need to be a priority and bike riding is just one activity we can do to increase muscle strength and flexibility, decrease stress levels and much more,” said Monique.
“We began at the Gurri Wanyarra Wellbeing Centre and made our way through O’Keefe Trail with Axedale as our destination. Needing a rest, we filled up on a great morning tea and spent time sharing stories about our personal well-being journeys.
“When spending time in small groups with members in a relaxed atmosphere, we can learn so much about the community we serve. I’m hopeful our next ride will encompass even more members.”
