It’s been 358 days since the ground keepers at Yarrambat Park Golf Course reaped their revenge on members. That’s 8592 hours to plot and plan the ultimate game of golf, where the grounds team wreak havoc on golfer’s patience and game play.
On May 15, 73 members took to the course knowing the 18 holes ahead would be packed with challenging obstacles designed to specifically put them off their game. With no sneak peaks of what was to come, the golfer’s inflicted their own style of pain on the fairways by dressing up in outlandish gear designed to distract opposing players and of course have a bit of fun on the greens.
With obstacles carefully planned and laid out the night before, the ground’s team conspired with a creation of rules where the players had to navigate the obstacles and get the best score.
“Ground Keeper’s Revenge is a a great opportunity to bring our members and our green keepers together on the fairways. It was a fantastic day with lots of laughs and exciting challenges. A unique take on the game of golf,” said Brock Gillard, Head Professional at Yarrambat Park Golf Course.
