What are you enjoying the most about your position and what challenges have you faced so far?
“I have not worked for a leisure company before so my challenge is to understand and work within the structure and systems. I am really enjoying being involved in the aquatic industry and the great atmosphere at Victoria Park Pool.”
How have you managed a healthy work-life balance during COVID-19?
“I struggled a little as I have moved house six times this year (three times inter-state). We have coped ok but I’m looking forward to a more stable future.”
What are three things you’re most passionate about in life and why?
“I love swim coaching, mainly because of the positive effect it has on young people’s lives. Now I also love coach education as by motivating and helping coaches in Australia and overseas to be better it can help even more people.”
John explains, “I also love water safety as thousands of lives are lost to drowning globally every month. Last but certainly not least, my family.”
Which CLEAR Value resonates the most with you and why?

“They all do, but good leadership incorporates all the other values.”
