Belgravia Leisure has successfully managed the Milmerran Indoor Sports Centre in Queensland for several years. The Centre is an active part of the local community, with a wide range of sporting activities for junior and senior teams as well as a program of coordinated fitness activities such as gymnastics classes for kids and adult group fitness.
In November 2020, Toowoomba Regional Council began to urgently seek a management company to take over the reins of the Milmerran Aquatic Centre which is located next to the Milmerran Indoor Sports Centre.
The 60-year-old aquatic facility, which includes a 50m outdoor pool, was previously managed by a local leisure management company but as Belgravia Leisure had successfully managed Milmerran’s Indoor Sports Centre, it made sense for Council to award Belgravia Leisure the tender to also manage the Aquatic Centre.
“We are excited to manage the Milmerran Aquatic Centre,” said QLD Regional Manager Russell Grenenger. “It will allow us to provide even more flexibility in the programs and services that we provide the local community. We’re looking forward to engaging further locals in employment opportunities and welcoming new members to the Aquatic Centre this summer season as we take over management of the Centre on the 28th of November.”
