Three of Belgravia Leisure managed venues in the Port Stephens area will undergo upgrades in the coming months.
Lakeside Leisure Centre is the first cab of the rank with upgrades to its café area, entrance and relaxation spaces. The Raymond Terrace pool will be closed from 28 June to 11 July while the refurbishment is underway.
The new café will feature new menu items with healthy options, while the entrance will enjoy a welcoming new appearance. Patrons to the upgraded venue will also enjoy new relaxation spaces indoors and outdoors.
Disruption to Lakeside Leisure Centre members will be minimised as the venue will reopen to swimmers on 12 July while upgrades to the café continue. Lakeside members will also have access to Tomaree Aquatic Centre during the closure period, as part of their membership.
Tilligerry Aquatic Centre is also scheduled for an upgrade, with its vinyl pool liner slated to be replaced with a new fiberglass lining to future-proof the pool against leaks for many years to come. Tilligerry will be closed from 5 July to 30 September while work to the pool lining is completed.
As part of the series of upgrades planned by Port Stephens council, members of Tomaree Aquatic Centre will enjoy a new café and entry area later in the year. The new café area will offer outdoor dining and comfortable shady areas for relaxation.

They’re not just places where people can exercise, but also where they can meet other people in the community, make new friends and socialise. The new café and relaxation spaces will provide everyone in the community with a place to enjoy healthy food and good company.”
