Even the toughest food critics need a break! My Kitchen Rules (MKR) judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge have found the perfect place to unwind at Wai Ariki Hot Springs & Spa.
Located on the shores of Lake Rotorua, the spa offered them a much-needed escape from their busy schedules.
Manu and Colin relaxed in the geothermal pools and experienced the unique Māori traditions of healing and hospitality.
The judges also experienced some of the spa’s signature treatments, including the Wai Whakaora (Restorative Journey), which combines hot and cold pools to relieve stress and boost recovery. Their time at Wai Ariki gave them a break from the food world and let them enjoy a blend of luxury treatments and local cultural practices.
Wai Ariki is all about making guests feel welcome and the team was excited to extend that warmth to the well-known faces.
“We were delighted to provide a moment of respite for the judges of MKR. Sharing the best of cultural wellness with manuhiri (guest/s) is our goal and it was a delight for the team to extend authentic manaakitanga to Manu and Colin”, said Debbie Robertson, General Manager at Wai Ariki.
Wai Ariki has quickly become a must-visit spot, where guests leave not only feeling refreshed, but also with a deeper appreciation for the healing power of Rotorua’s geothermal waters and Māori culture.
