In the heart of Central West NSW, six Belgravia Leisure-managed aquatic venues have all successfully achieved Royal Life Saving’s 5-Star Safety Rating. Among these, three venues are amidst transition, underscoring the team’s dedication to safety through intensive training and internal promotion for key leadership positions.
Royal Life Saving Australia’s Aquatic Facility Safety Assessment (AFSA) process is a rigorous evaluation based on industry standards and has become the benchmark for assessing safety in aquatic facilities. Currently, among the 68 5-Star Aquatic Safety Partners, 25 of our aquatic venues proudly hold this esteemed rating.
These recognitions signify a score of 90% or higher across 40 tough safety standards, which is no easy task, demanding a thorough safety approach. Belgravia Leisure has achieved an overall average of 97% 5-Star Score for our venues.

We’re proud of our venues and teams for achieving exceptional results. Each venue has received a 5-Star Safety Rating for the 2023/24 period, Wellington Aquatic Leisure Centre received a perfect 100% score. Following closely, Geurie Pool and Dubbo Aquatic Leisure Centre secured an impressive 98%. Manning Aquatic Centre (Bathurst) and Forbes Olympic Pool achieved commendable scores of 96%, while Parkes Aquatic Centre attained a score of 92%, showcasing our commitment to safety across the board.

From emergency preparedness to lifeguard proficiency, from facility design to chemical handling protocols, every aspect is meticulously inspected to ensure the highest standards of safety are met.
