Crib Point Pool showcases local youth talent for Impakt FReeZA Open Mic afternoon.
Crib Point Pool played host to a vibrant display of musical talent during the recent FReeZA Open Mic afternoon, spotlighting the creativity and skill of the youth from the Mornington Peninsula.
We collaborated with Belgravia Foundation and Impakt FReeZA to bring together young musicians aged between 16 and 25 years old to hone their skills, have some fun and entertain the local community!
Under the clear skies of a sunny Sunday afternoon, the poolside stage became a platform for budding artists to showcase their original compositions, covers and even impromptu performances.
Attendees were treated to three hours of diverse musical genres, reflecting the talent within the region.
Brad Kellett, Assistant Venue Manager, seized the opportunity to combine entertainment with a gold coin donation sausage sizzle. All gold coin donations go directly towards Belgravia Foundation’s community projects, further reinforcing the event’s commitment to supporting local causes.
Tom Duell, Community Engagement & Inclusion Coordinator, expressed his delight at the success of the event, stating, “It was a really special day, and it was great to see the young people share their talents with the community at a place you wouldn’t usually expect to see live music.”
Judi De La Haye, Venue Manager, echoed these sentiments and said she welcomes more events like this in the future, “the day was really well received by everyone in attendance, it was a great opportunity to have a swim, sit in the sun and listen to some talented musicians”.
The FReeZA Open Mic afternoon not only provided a platform for emerging musicians to hone their craft but also fostered community engagement and support for the arts.
