St Kilda’s newest health club and high-performance community training centre, Victoria Health Club opens its doors to the community today.
Victoria Health Club is located at Junction Oval in the heart of St Kilda at the iconic CitiPower Centre, home of Cricket Victoria. Offering a range of health and wellbeing services, what sets Victoria Health Club apart is its combination of high-performance recovery facilities paired with an extensive programming schedule built for all.
With the introduction of unique guided recovery classes, the venue plans to make the benefits of a structured recovery routine publicly available so the broader community can reap the health benefits.
Venue Manager, James Harris says, “This is an exciting opportunity for our community to experience top-notch facilities and equipment typically reserved for elite athletes, thoughtfully designed to cater to everyone.
“Our class schedule will be packed with a variety of options, allowing our dedicated team to connect with and support each member who walks through our doors. The unique blend of gym access, classes, Reformer Pilates and a purpose-built recovery space aims to support not only athletes aiming to enhance their performance, but also those who are simply looking to improve their overall wellbeing.”
The club is also set be a hive of activity for all ages, bringing Swimming Australia’s nationally accredited GOswim learn to swim program to St Kilda for the first time in early 2025. James says, “The GOswim program is offered in a separate, quiet and dedicated room removing several sensory obstacles. This will make our health club the perfect environment for young students who may require dedicated lessons or additional support.”
Further to the high-performance services, Victoria Health Club’s Reformer Pilates studio is set to be a hit, offering premium members unlimited Reformer Pilates access at a great price point. Available until the 30th of November 2024, Victoria Health Club is offering members the chance to get three months of reformer access at the price of a regular membership. “Reformer Pilates brings a wealth of health benefits to the individual, from supporting strength, to flexibility, posture and balance, it’s a fantastic opportunity to get into Reformer Pilates at entry level prices,” says James.
Cricket Victoria CEO Nick Cummins said: “We are very excited to see the Victoria Health Club open the doors for the first time today, and I would like to thank Belgravia Leisure for their efforts in helping us bring this project to life.”
“It’s exciting to have new members already signed up and ready to begin their personal fitness regimes with us at the Victoria Health Club. We’re constantly looking for avenues to make the CitiPower Centre accessible to more of the community and the new gym will help us deliver that,” Cummins said.
“We hope that visitors and members will love coming into facility every day and utilising the wide range of equipment and classes available to them.”
Community members are invited to join a free community celebration event on Saturday 30 November. From 10am – 2pm, visitors will get access to come and try out Victoria Health Club with a number of exclusive group exercise classes available on the day!
