Swim Tangaroa is a new and effective swimming and water safety program focused on experiential and activity-based learning now offered at the modern multi-purpose pool facility, Kiwa Pools in Gisborne.

Swim Tangaroa swimming and water safety lessons empower students to think, discuss and make informed decisions whilst having fun in and around water. Our program is run in small graded classes with a fully trained swimming teacher. We encourage the use of Te Reo Māori within our lessons. Although lessons are predominantly taught in English, our experienced teachers are provided with new kupu (words) and phrases to use throughout lessons.
