Last Saturday marked a momentous occasion as the doors of the eagerly awaited MARC Stadium swung open in Moorabool, Victoria. The Community Open Day welcomed residents to enjoy the various offerings of this state-of-the-art $17.55 million venue.
The stadium is set to be the community hub for residents of all ages and abilities to engage in sports, fitness classes, community events and more. It was a day of excitement as the local community gathered to enjoy fun games, workout sessions and a barbecue, with something for the entire family to enjoy.
A testament to community spirit, the event also raised $450 for the Belgravia Foundation, which Amy Cross, Belgravia Leisure’s Area Manager, confirmed would support initiatives within the venue.
“Opening the doors to the Moorabool community was an exciting experience for the entire team, witnessing countless smiles and positive feedback about the venue,” Amy said.
More than just a sports venue, MARC Stadium is a community space fostering a sense of belonging and well-being.
Amy continued, “From state-of-the-art fitness facilities to versatile court spaces, MARC Stadium is designed to cater to the diverse interests and needs of the Moorabool community—we are simply thrilled to be open.
“We are proud to partner with Moorabool Shire Council, whereby we have been entrusted to manage the day-to-day operations of the venue’s four indoor highball courts, two multi-program spaces and a function room with a kitchenette.”
As MARC Stadium continues its evolution, several positions are now available for individuals to join the team and be a part of this exciting chapter in the Moorabool community’s journey towards health, fitness, and inclusivity. Please visit the Belgravia Jobs Portal to apply.
