Nathan Hart is the newest member of the Belgravia Leisure golf team. Nathan recently became the Venue Manager of Little Para Golf Course in South Australia and has been described by his team as being “full of energy, with the drive and commitment to make Little Para a destination for golfers and the local community”.
Nathan joins Belgravia with over 16 years of community development experience. He has spent the past 16 years working in local government with Port Adelaide Enfield Council in the Community Development Department working in Sport and Recreation, including establishing and managing large multi-court facilities.
Nathan was excited when an opening presented itself to become a part of the team at Belgravia Leisure. “I jumped at the opportunity to join Belgravia Leisure in March to manage the Gardens Recreation Centre and Salisbury Recreation Precinct (Aquatics) which has led to my new position of managing Little Para Golf Club since 1 July this year.”
“I have a strong passion for golf, having been a member of the my local club for some time. It’s incredible that now I find myself managing the course I grew up playing as a kid!” he said.
“It’s unfortunate that I like the game more than the game likes me as my passion for the game outweights my ability,” Nathan joked.
Nathan’s passion for golf has led him to play some great courses including St Andrews in Scotland and the opportunity to attend The Open Championship in Northern Island back in 2020. He highly recommends adding this experience to everyone’s bucket list!
Little Para Golf Course is a beautiful 9-hole par 3 with additional driving range facilities. As Nathan embraces his role as Venue Manager, he is engaging members who are “highly passionate” about their course and finding out quickly what they would like to be changed.
“I hope to bring some further community activation to LPGC including more female members, junior pathways and inclusive programs to widen awareness of our beautiful course,” he added.
