Kate has been our Tourism Marketing Coordinator for almost four months and says some of her highlights of working with Belgravia Leisure so far have been collaborating with her team.
“Working in a team where everyone is committed, knowledgeable and enjoys what they do makes projects really exciting. Being a part of a team that has the same goals, similar work ethic and all-around enjoyment of their job inspires me to be the best I can be,” Kate said.
What is your favourite and least favourite thing about your career?
“My least favourite thing about my career is the effects of the pandemic, it really didn’t do great things for tourism.
“My favourite thing is being able to work with parks across Australia and New Zealand and continue to improve and develop my knowledge of the tourism industry. From a destination point of view but also an accommodation point of view,” Kate said.
Where do you see yourself in the next three to five years?
“In the next few years, I see myself at Belgravia Leisure/Pro with an expanded group of parks, a team dedicated to marketing and happy living in Melbourne,” Kate said.
What are three things you’re most passionate about in life and why?
“Footy, I really enjoy playing and watching, it’s the best. Melbourne Demons are the best. How can you not love footy and be from Melbourne? I also love cooking. I don’t need meditation just need an air fryer, a bench top and fresh food. This is my creative, happy place where I feel the most free. Eating is just a bonus of enjoying cooking.
“Finally, travel. The one place where personal growth happens no matter where I go. Exploring new places, meeting new people and seeing the world from a different perspective is the most important thing for me to help understand people and connect with them,” Kate concluded.
