In the lead up to International Day of People With a Disability, the Councils in the West came together to host an All Abilities Regional Inclusion Activities Week.
In partnership with Brimbank City Council, Keilor Public Golf Course hosted two amazing free All Abilities clinics for children, young people and adults. Led by resident PGA Pro All Abilities Coach, Scott Wearne, clinics included an introduction to golf and an opportunity for participants to make new friends.
Venue Manager, Jack McDonald said, “We are incredibly pleased to partner with Brimbank City Council in the lead up to International Day for People with a Disability on the 3rd of December. Golf is a terrific way to keep active and form social connections, so we are very excited to introduce the sport in a setting that will facilitate the next generation of golfers in Brimbank”.
Both Jack and Scott appeared in the local Star Weekly Newspaper for the Brimbank and North West publication.
