Imagine a world where golf is accessible to everyone, regardless of ability—this is the vision brought to life by the Belgravia Leisure golf team through the All-Abilities program offered at our golf venues. This initiative, driven by Golf Australia, is transforming the sport across our venues, including Point Walter, Yarrambat and Spring Park Golf Courses.
With a focus on inclusivity and community connection, the program breaks down barriers and ensures that individuals with disabilities can enjoy and excel in golf. Supported by the Belgravia Foundation and local disability services, this program provides tailored support and creates a sense of belonging for all participants.
Jack McDonald, National Golf Programs Manager said, “Belgravia Golf is all about making golf fun and accessible for everyone. Watching the excitement and joy of our participants through the Get Into Golf All-Abilities program has been truly rewarding”.
Point Walter Golf Course (PWGC)
Point Walter, a scenic golf course nestled along the Swan River in Perth, has been a focal point of the All-Abilities program. The serene environment, combined with a dedicated coaching team, has made golf accessible to many who might otherwise might not consider trying the sport.
Local disability services have played a crucial role at PWGC, providing tailored support to participants and ensuring everyone’s needs are met.

YPGC partnered with Araluen, a local disability support service, and the Belgravia Foundation to provide a successful five-week golf coaching program, which emphasised fun and social interaction.
Spring Park Golf Course (SPGC)
Spring Park Golf Course has also made significant contributions to the All-Abilities initiative. The course’s accessible layout, mini golf courses and dedicated staff have created a nurturing environment for all participants.
Spring Park has formed partnerships with a range of local disability services and through this, was able to provide a fully subsidised mini golf day, fully funded by the Belgravia Foundation.
Venue Manager Terry Smith said, “Providing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to try golf in all forms is a huge priority for us at Spring Park Golf Course. We were pleased to welcome a range of local disability services to the course for a day of fun and inclusion for all to enjoy what we have on offer”.
The Get Into Golf All-Abilities program is more than just a golfing initiative; it’s a movement towards greater inclusivity and community connection for underrepresented members of our communities.
By partnering with local disability services at Point Walter, Yarrambat and Spring Park, we’re paving the way for a more inclusive future in golf. Participants are not just learning new skills but are also building friendships and gaining confidence, proving that golf really is a sport for everyone!
“We’re thrilled with the progress we’ve made and are excited about continuing to expand these opportunities. Our goal is to keep breaking down barriers and welcoming even more people to experience the thrill of golf,” Jack concluded.
