The Aquatic & Recreation Institute (ARI) has named Whitlam Leisure Centre the winner of its Customer Service Team Award.
Whitlam Leisure Centre, in Liverpool, New South Wales, received the award at the ARI Virtual Awards Ceremony in February. The Customer Service Team Award acknowledges the commitment and dedication of any customer service team that displays professionalism, service knowledge and the ability to handle conflicts and work well under pressure.
“The Whitlam Leisure Centre team are proud to have been awarded the ARI Customer Service Team Award,” said Greg Crawford, Manager of Whitlam Leisure Centre. “Being recognised in this category is a testament to the team and highlights our Guest First ethos. It’s the simple things that make the difference: name badge, presentation, friendly smile. Getting them right goes a long way to making a memorable experience for our members and guests.”
For the Whitlam Leisure Centre team, a big focus has been on the overall guest experience, consistently providing high levels of service and abiding by Belgravia Leisure’s charter to “put the customer at the centre of everything we do”.
Through staff development and training, the team were able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of their venue and services, which in turn has resulted in increased sales.
