We are excited to welcome Cathryn Johnstone who has been appointed as Park Manager at the Daylesford Holiday Park in Victoria.
Cathryn and her husband Robert, started working at Daylesford Holiday Park on Friday 29 July and said, “A highlight of working with Belgravia Leisure so far has been the amazing backup and support from a really friendly group of co-workers.”
We asked Cathryn some questions to get to know her better.
How have you been impacted by Covid and what have you learnt?
“We have learnt that this is our new “normal”. I am pleased that Belgravia Leisure allows us to be empathetic with people suffering from this virus, and allow clients options that don’t cost them money to reschedule their bookings,” Cathryn said.
What is your favourite and least favourite thing about your career?
“I love the contact with holidaymakers from reception. My least favourite thing at the moment is probably staffing which has become more difficult due to Covid,” Cathryn said.
Where do you see yourself in the next three to five years?
“I see myself still working with Belgravia Leisure, but hopefully with some nice long holidays exploring Australia between new placements,” Cathryn said.
What are three things you’re most passionate about in life and why?
“Three things I’m most passionate about are my family, friends and being an Aussie. As well as our basenji pup, Ayla who is quite a hit with the guests. These are the things that keep me happy,” Cathryn said.
What does sustainability mean to you?
“Sustainability to me means leaving a healthy planet for future generations. Robert and I are both huge recycling fans,” Cathryn concluded.
