The ARV (Aquatics & Recreation Victoria) Industry Awards are held annually, to recognise the hard work and success of the Aquatic and Recreation Industry. This year the prestigious night was held on January 28th, 2022 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
We are honoured to announce Belgravia Leisure and our people have won some major awards in the following categories:
- Impact Award – Keenagers Table Tennis, Yarra Centre
- Swim Teacher for Person’s with a Disability Award – Louise Tilley from Knox Leisureworks
- Emerging Leader Award – Belgravia Leisure’s National Access & Inclusion Coordinator, Emma Lowe
Community Impact Award for Keenagers Table Tennis – Yarra Centre
The Yarra Centre team proudly accepted the award and said, “We are extremely grateful for the recognition as a centre but more importantly to our wonderful volunteers who put their time and energy into running the program every week.”
Swim Teacher for Person’s with a Disability Award – Louise Tilley
The ARV Swim Teacher for Person’s with a Disability Award presented by The Belgravia Foundation was proudly awarded to Louise Tilley from Knox Leisurework’s.
Emerging Leader Award – Belgravia Leisure’s National Access & Inclusion Coordinator, Emma Lowe
Emma Lowe explained how humbled she was to be recognised and says, “I’m so proud to be working in an industry that connects with communities and positively impacts the health and happiness of so many people. A big thank-you to Belgravia Leisure and Jeff Walkley for supporting my professional aspirations and creating opportunities for growth, not only for me but for many incredible people across the organisation.
“Lastly, a big thank you to ARV for the award and supporting emerging leaders in our space,” Emma concluded.
