Olympian Brooke Hanson with Emma Withers from Kilsyth Centenary Pool.
The Belgravia Foundation held its inaugural Inspiration Breakfast this month, with over 260 guests from the aquatic, sport, leisure, disability and business industries. Over $150,000 was pledged to kick-start the charity, with all money going towards connecting people with a disability and of disadvantage to sport and recreation.
Olympic swim champ, Brooke Hanson OAM, was MC at the event, where she interviewed mother of three, Emma Withers, whose three children attend inclusion swim classes at Kilsyth Centenary Pool.
A huge thank you to sponsors Revium for creating the new Belgravia Foundation website, and a host of event sponsors including Bank of Melbourne, Zoggs, ASTA and Novofit. AUSTSWIM, Swimming Australia, Disability Sport and Recreation, Heart Foundation, Bupa, Monash University and Exercise Research Australia were among many of the industry heavyweights that attended the event. It was great to see a large number of Belgravia Health and Leisure Group staff in the audience too.
