Belgravia Foundation has unveiled a renewed vision to help get one million kids active, marking a new era of impact under newly appointed Executive Officer Damian Gorman.
Alongside Damian’s appointment, the Foundation has welcomed several new board members, including Belgravia Outdoor Education CEO Richard Thornton, Sport at Belgravia Apparel COO Brian Waldron and returning member Alex Lord as Chair. They join existing board members Brooke Hanson OLY OAM, Belgravia Leisure staff members CEO Nick Cox and National Operations Assistant Cherie Mills, and Catherine Foreman.
The Belgravia Foundation brand and logo have also been refreshed, with a new contemporary website providing greater access to information about the Foundation’s work, impact, resources and opportunities to get involved.
Damian said he is looking forward to the opportunity to build on the Foundation’s strong legacy while expanding its impact in communities across Australia.

“I’m delighted to be part of such an exciting time for Belgravia Foundation, and we have a real opportunity to build on the strong foundations already in place to ensure no-one misses out,” he said.
“Our core focus moving forward will be bringing our founder and Chairman Geoff Lord’s vision of getting one million kids active to life while supporting healthy lives and creating connected communities across Australia.”
As part of the Foundation’s renewed vision, a new annual national fundraising day held at Belgravia Group managed venues across the country will launch in early 2027.
“We are looking forward to establishing a signature annual fundraising event that engages the entire Belgravia Group network and becomes a recognised national campaign,” Damian said.
“Not only will the event raise awareness of the barriers that prevent children from participating in sport, recreation and leisure activities, but it will also generate community engagement and fundraising outcomes that strengthen the support we can provide to those who need it most.”
The Foundation is aiming to raise more than $1.4 million over the next 12 months to help more individuals and families access sport, recreation, aquatic, fitness and health programs in their local communities.

As part of this effort, more than 250 collection cans are being distributed to Belgravia Leisure managed venues across Australia, making it easier for communities to support the Foundation’s work.
Belgravia Foundation will also host its annual corporate fundraising event as a lunch in February 2027, with ambassador Brooke Hanson OLY OAM once again set to host the occasion. Tickets to the lunch will be released shortly.
Belgravia Foundation is a registered charity dedicated to reducing barriers to participation in sport, aquatic, fitness, recreation and health programs. The Foundation focuses its work in the communities where the Belgravia Group operates, helping ensure that financial hardship, disadvantage or circumstance do not prevent people from accessing the benefits of being active and connected.
Importantly, every dollar raised stays local, supporting individuals facing barriers to participation and reinforcing the Foundation’s promise that No One Misses Out.
