We’re almost halfway through the year, and it’s been a successful term for little and big humans across Victoria. Easter quickly became the hoppiest time of the year at Yarrambat Park Golf Course with a sell-out community event! With guests from near and far, the inaugural Easter movie night was an egg-ceptional afternoon and evening for all.
Melbourne turned on the perfect weather with a balmy 26 degrees to see in the long weekend with over 300 patrons attending an outdoor screening of the absolute cutest Easter film, Hop. With fresh popcorn on hand to compliment the outdoor cinema experience, there were happy bunnies all around.
You couldn’t come to Yarrambat Park Golf Course and not have a round or two at Goanna Golf – and with mini-golf during the Easter break, the crowd favourite ‘lucky dip’ was back with prizes from our Goanna Golf range and the ice cream freezer.
Coaxing the Easter Bunny out of his burrow, chocolate eggs were shared with all the little and big bunnies and the lucky golf members who stayed for the treats.
Alice from Colour Face Painting showcased her talents with clever face painting skills from Easter bunnies to unicorns, there was nothing she couldn’t do! An all-time fave, Sweet Forbidden Journey arrived with their delicious desserts and PM Perfection with a huge assortment of BBQ meat and yummy rolls – not forgetting the sweet potato fries.
Zac, 7, loved getting his face painted and following the Easter Bunny onto the mini-golf course. “He was really cute and had yummy chocolate!”
Caitlyn, 11, loved the giant Easter sign – it really capped off the Easter theme and made for a beautiful backdrop for the family photos.
Community Inclusion Coordinator, Ali, loved seeing everyone come together and celebrate the long weekend, enjoying the weather and seeing everyone out and about again. “Being able to put on events for local families has been our top priority coming out of Covid. We are so lucky to be in a position where we can make use of our beautiful outdoor location and facilities for so many people to enjoy. I met so many people who used our event as their reason for a family catch up – with one group even flying in from interstate!”
