“Make the most of your vouchers” is the message coming loud and clear from Belgravia Leisure managed South Australian venues in response to SA kids now being eligible for two $100 sports vouchers per calendar year.
The SA Government has announced the expansion of its sports vouchers program – now labelled Sports Vouchers Plus – to offer kids from Reception to Year nine double the opportunity to benefit from a range of sports including learn to swim lessons, gymnastics and active recreation.
The Belgravia Leisure managed venues offer and accept vouchers for Swimming Australia’s GOswim learn to swim and water safety program, as well as gymnastics and the Ford Aussie Hoops program.
Catherine Foreman, Belgravia Leisure’s SA Business Operations Manager is pleased to see the program has been expanded and is keen for families to be aware of the opportunities available to kids.
“This wonderful initiative gives families $200 extra in their back pocket per child to ensure their kids are staying active. When it comes to swimming lessons in particular, this activity is a life skill for safety in all our pools, beaches, and waterways, so using the Sports Vouchers to ensure kids are staying in lessons year-round will go a long way to keeping them safe in and around the water.”
Foreman continued, “This initiative really does help ease the cost of living for families across the state, and we are pleased that our venues are able to be a part of the program. It’s also worth checking out many clubs which operate within leisure venues, as many of them offer it for their programs too”.
Since its inception, more than 697,000 vouchers have been claimed, providing $58.85 million to South Australian families to contribute to eligible activities.
Families can claim their Sports Vouchers via www.sportvouchers.sa.gov.au, and enquire about enrolling their kids in a sporting activity at their local Belgravia Leisure managed SA venue. Claiming the Sports Voucher is smooth for families as it is done as part of enrolling their kids in the sporting activity.
