Last weekend, ten wellness enthusiasts embarked on a transformative journey in the serene landscapes of Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa’s inaugural wellness event. Set against the backdrop of the Edwardian heritage-listed Pavilion, the event promised a day of rejuvenation, self-discovery and holistic wellness and it certainly delivered.
The day began with a heartfelt Welcome Ceremony by Peta Hudson from the Dja Dja Wurrung People from Djandak (country), honouring the rich cultural heritage of the land and setting the tone for a day of respect and gratitude.
The day unfolded with an enriching array of activities designed to nurture the mind, body and spirit, guided by Marye O’Brien, a renowned Ayurvedic health practitioner and founder of Maiaveda.
Guests enjoyed a deep dive into Ayurvedic (the sister science to yoga) to discover who they are at an elemental level, as well as yoga classes, sound bath healing and meditation, Yoga Nidra.
Throughout the day, guests also immersed themselves in sanctuary mineral bathing in the mineral-rich waters sourced directly from nature. As well as bespoke spa treatments, complemented by nourishing, delicious meals.
Amidst the hectic pace of life, this immersive experience served as an important reminder of the benefits of self-care and connection, and the profound connection between mind, body, and spirit, drawing from the wisdom of ancient healing traditions.
Guests ended the day by unwinding and reflecting on the day’s transformative experiences with a group dinner, finding calm in the serenity knowing that they had embarked on a journey of profound self-discovery and holistic wellness.
