Belgravia Leisure’s ‘Find Your 30’ campaign, launched in partnership with Sport Australia has encouraged more than 7000 Australians to find practical ways to incorporate half an hour of activity into their day.
At the wrap up of the campaign, over 7000 new members took up the offer to ‘find their 30 minutes of activity’. There were a variety of different ways that these members incorporated regular exercise into their daily routines such as playing netball, doing aqua aerobics, swimming laps every morning or participating in group fitness classes.
“We have been so excited to work on the Find Your 30 campaign with Sport Australia. We’ve had such a huge response from people who have struggled to fit in 30 minutes of activity into their days,” said Sharon Masson, Group Marketing Manager at Belgravia Leisure.
“Sport Australia’s goal is to get every Australian moving more often and to become the most active sporting nation on earth. Our call to action is for Australians to find 30 minutes of physical activity a day, for a healthier and more balanced lifestyle. It’s fantastic to have the support of Belgravia, which provides so many opportunities for members to be active.” said Fiona Boughton from Sport Australia.
Consistency is the key to maintaining a healthy heart, and the Find Your 30 campaign has been a great way for Australians to find their exercise rhythm again. Belgravia National Health and Wellbeing Manager Troy Walker said that it is imperative to incorporate some form of daily activity such as walking every day or resistance training three times a week. “’Find Your 30 was a great way for Aussies to accumulate 150 minutes of cardio-respiratory fitness training through the week. This is a target that can be built up to gradually,” said Troy.
