Sugarworld Adventure Park, located in balmy Edmonton, Queensland has reopened after closing for winter maintenance in July 2020.

With COVID-19 interstate travel restrictions across many states, the team at Sugarworld are looking forward to providing the local communities in Queensland a safe and fun family destination through the spring and summer seasons.

Kendell Thessman, Area Manager for North Queensland told us, “North Queenslanders are looking forward to doing something special with the family over the September School Holidays and are booking out caravan parks and hotels as we speak. Having been closed since March due to COVID, we are so excited to be able to finally open Sugarworld Adventure Park and give children and families an affordable and exciting day out.”

“There are a few operational changes to ensure the health and safety of staff and guests, but ultimately with some social distancing and high level sanitisation, we will see smiling faces heading down slides and families on the mini golf course from September 19.”

“Some new options for guests include Sun Lounge Hire, Cabana Hire and Host, Remote Food and Beverage Ordering System and online (only) bookings. We welcome back team members from last season, and are excited to have some new talent joining the team also,” added Kendell.

Sugarworld Adventure Park features seven slides, pools, a giant water bucket, fountains, waterfalls and water jets! There’s something for everyone in the family including Splash Town’s water world of discovery, suitable for children 10 years and younger (with supervising parents) and is designed to develop confidence in little children around the water. Parents, be warned, it’s fun for adults as well!

For those who are more inclined to battle it out for the title of Putt Putt Island Champion, there’s the unique mini golf course with nine challenging holes through cascading waterfalls and a large pond.

New to Sugarworld is the exciting introduction of VIP style cabanas! Relax like the celebrities do in one of Sugarworld’s exclusive cabanas, conveniently situated within the adventure park. VIP perks include a cabana attendant paging service, a full fit out including ice bucket, complimentary towels and ‘café to cabana’ food and delivery service.
