The results of the 2026 Belgravia Leisure Census Workforce Diversification Survey are in, revealing growing diversity across the company’s workforce, with strong representation of women, people with disability, people living with mental health concerns or diagnosis, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and LGBTQIA+ communities.
The company-wide census captures a comprehensive picture of Belgravia Leisure’s workforce by inviting team members to respond to a series of optional questions relating to their cultural background, gender, sexual orientation, beliefs and physical and mental health.
Importantly, questions in the census replicate or closely align with those used in national census surveys, enabling comparison with national norms and trends.
The 2026 census represents the third round of data collection, following 2023 and 2025 and is now the largest regular workforce dataset of its kind among leisure services management operators.
Confidential, aggregated results deliver valuable insights to inform key decisions and initiatives for team members and communities across Australia. The data also enables Belgravia Leisure to better understand its people, gain deep insight from people with lived experience, strengthen inclusion initiatives, serve its current workforce in a more informed way and more closely reflect the communities it serves.
