Port Pirie Regional Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Belgravia Leisure for the management of Council’s Port Pirie Sporting Precinct, Port Pirie Recreation Centre and Crystal Brook Swimming Centre.
“Belgravia Leisure’s tender submission was a standout. They were well presented and demonstrated overall enthusiasm to be able to work with the Port Pirie Regional Council and support our community, “said Port Pirie Regional Council CEO, Peter Ackland.
Belgravia Leisure is part of the Australian owned Belgravia Health & Leisure Group of companies and has over 30 years experience in operating leisure and aquatic facilities. They partner with over 40 Local Government and State Government authorities and to date manage eleven other leisure centres throughout South Australia.
“We are delighted to commence a partnership with Port Pirie Regional Council to deliver programs and facilities that are innovative, diverse and accessible to the whole community,” said Belgravia Leisure CEO, Nick Cox.
Belgravia Leisure has been awarded the contract for five years. Council will undertake regular reviews once operation starts to determine the best long-term management model and to maximise opportunities.
Local employment is Council’s key requirement and Belgravia Leisure has committed to this in their submission. Leadership roles, such as manager and supervisor roles, as well as a pool of casual roles will be on offer for the community to apply.
