B Active East Fremantle has reached a milestone 120 members in its Exercise Physiology (EP) membership, the highest EP membership across Belgravia Leisure’s network of more than 260 venues.
The growth reflects increasing demand for accessible exercise physiology support within community fitness environments, where members and guests can integrate clinical expertise into their regular training routine.
According to Viv, Health Club Manager at B Active East Fremantle, the program’s structure and focus on accessibility for all have been key contributors to its uptake and high eNPS (Net Promoter) satisfaction score of 90.

“We’ve grown and retained so many members because of the strong, welcoming gym community we have created here. Regular social member events, including breakfasts and festive celebrations, help our community feel connected to each other and more likely to stay engaged,” Viv shared.
“Client care and outcomes that matter most to each individual sit at the heart of everything we do.”
One long‑standing member, who has been with the venue since opening, shared their difficulty in finding a gym that genuinely met their needs prior to joining B Active East Fremantle.
With the support of the Exercise Physiology team, they received a tailored, outcomes‑focused program to safely manage symptoms following cancer treatment. This included personalised 1:1 supervision and a supported introduction into the clinical Pilates program at the venue, aligned with their goals, confidence and long‑term wellbeing.
Membership has steadily grown. An initial cohort of 56 Exercise Physiology members transitioned to B Active East Fremantle following the closure of a nearby clinic, with a further 68 members joining the program since opening.
Members have also self-reported significant improvements in their wellbeing since starting the program. 68% reported improved muscle strength and conditioning; 56% improved their physical mobility and 29% reported better mental health and wellbeing.

The milestone aligns with Belgravia Leisure’s broader expansion of allied health services, with over 27,000 allied health visitations across the group in 2025 across Australia and New Zealand.
“We are in a strong growth phase across our venues and consider Allied Health to be a core offering for our communities. 61% of the Australian population were living with a long-term health condition in 2022 (Australian Institute of Health and Welfare) and our venues with Allied Health have the expertise and care to ensure that we can meet those people where they are at,” added Kia Naylor, Allied Health Manager at Belgravia Leisure.
“Something we are proud of is that there is no need to be a member to access our Allied Health services (outside of the membership) improving accessibility and inclusion for all.”
Currently four Belgravia Leisure venues offer EP memberships including Ascot Vale Leisure Centre, Keilor East Leisure Centre, Knox Leisure Centre and East Fremantle with WaterMarc Banyule and Mornington Peninsula venues scheduled to introduce an EP membership program in the 2026–27 financial year.
As demand for allied health services within community fitness settings grows, Belgravia Leisure is committed to continuing to expand community-based models that integrate clinical expertise with accessible membership options for all to stay independent and well.
