The travel and tourism industries are growing fast and with more people visiting Australia’s parks, regions and resorts, there’s strong demand for skilled, reliable team members. So, if you’re looking for a career change, a way into the industry or a formal qualification for the work you’re already doing, P.R.O. Management can help
As part of Belgravia Academy, P.R.O. Management delivers nationally recognised Tourism and Travel traineeships across Australia, with a focus on real skills in real jobs. The training is built with input from industry professionals and educational trainers who stay up to date with the latest standards.
What is a tourism traineeship?

A traineeship is a paid job where you also work towards a qualification. You’ll complete theory online, while gaining practical experience on the job in a holiday park, resort or other tourism settings.
Traineeships are flexible, designed for people of all ages and backgrounds. You don’t need experience, just a willingness to learn and grow as an individual and people from all walks of life are making the shift.
That’s what drew Charles to the course. “This course has shown that I could start a new job and learn new things,” he says, reflecting on his own shift into tourism.
Others agree. Louise shared that it “gave me greater insight into the workings of a park,” and Fiona said it “encourages me to continue my journey of training and travel.”

Benefits for trainees:
- Get paid while you train
- Nationally recognised qualification
- Learn practical skills on the job
- Apply training to your current role
- Opportunities for fee-free or subsidised training, depending on your state
- Access future training and job opportunities through Belgravia’s network
If you enjoy variety, problem solving, working outdoors and talking to people, this could be a great fit for you. People come to tourism from all different kinds of careers, including hospitality, retail, trades, mental health and care work.
“I applied for jobs from my van while travelling,” says Kylie-Anne, a park manager who changed careers after burnout. “Now I work alongside my partner and we’ve got a lifestyle that actually works for us.”
For Lynlea, learning practical skills like the RMS reservation system was a highlight, “Being able to work hands-on in the park is great. The staff were really helpful and patient. I feel like I’ve got a good understanding of RMS which was my focus.”
That hands-on experience is what sets the program apart. Kaylene explained it this way, “What a great introduction I had to life working and managing a caravan park. Best of all, we got out into the park and did the work, housekeeping, amenities, outside operations, office management, RMS and customer service. We got to experience it all.”
